Gerald Armstrong B.A.
Senior Partner, admitted as a solicitor in 1979. Trained in General Practice in Durham before coming to Sunderland after qualifying. Set up the firm Gerald Armstrong & Co. in 1983 as a general practice. The firm gained franchises in Criminal Law and Family Law in 1999 but became exclusively a criminal law specialist practice in 2005.
A Duty Solicitor since the inception of the scheme, Mr Armstrong has had conduct of many serious criminal cases, including Murder, Manslaughter, Rape, Drug Conspiracy, Sexual offences and high value Proceeds of Crime cases.
He was President of Sunderland Law Society in 2008.
